Jewelry Care

14k Yellow, Rose and White Gold
Mix a small amount of mild dish detergent with warm water in a bowl. Put the jewelry into the bowl and let sit for a few minutes. Use a soft toothbrush (like a baby tooth brush) to gently scrub the jewelry. Remove item from soapy water, rinse it and dry thoroughly with a soft polishing cloth.
You can also use a polishing cloth for extra shine and to remove any tarnish. (Sometimes 14k gold can tarnish a bit – particularly on earrings and the inside of rings – depending on your skin chemistry, but it is a very easy fix.)

Chain Bracelet Types

There are many gold chain styles available, each serving different purposes to the wearer. Below we list the more popular ones.

Rolo chains comprising of oval interlocking links with alternate links turned 180°.

Box chains have square links rather than round links, giving the chain a boxy appearance. Thinner versions are popular for women’s jewelry. Thicker chains look great work by men or by women as statement pieces.

Figaro chains have flattened links which vary in size. It usually has 2 or 3 shorter links alternating with a longer link. Figaro is a style that originated in Italy and is popular with both genders

Rope chains are chains where small links are manipulated to avoid calling attention to their appearance; instead, they are linked in a twisted pattern to resemble a genuine rope.

Karatage is expressed in 24ths, making 24k gold, 100% gold. We craft our jewelry using both 18k, 14k and 10k gold. 18k gold is composed of 75% gold, which is alloyed with other metals to make it strong enough for everyday wear. 14k gold is composed of 58.3% gold and 41.7% of other metals, and 10K contains 37.5 percent pure gold and 62.5 percent other metals.

Gold Colors

Pure gold comes in yellow, but it can be produced in shades of rose, white, green, and even two-tone. None of these additional colors are natural, and instead produced by mixing pure 24K yellow gold with various other metals. The percentage of the other metals (copper, silver, zinc, and nickel) produces the different shades of gold

Rose Gold

Rose gold is also known as pink gold or red gold, and is a mixture of pure yellow gold with a high percentage of copper.

White Gold

White gold is created by increasing the silver-colored alloys (zinc, silver, nickel) normally mixed with gold and decreasing the copper-colored alloys
